A 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace won't have gone down well at the Etihad Stadium, with Manchester City now trailing bitter rivals United by a point and at risk of falling outside the top four.
Going from likely title contenders to potentially missing out on the Champions League is an unthinkable fate for the Citizens, but the Red Devils are in an entirely more joyful thread of form.
