Joseph ZuckerApr 2, 2015

According to Sports Illustrated's Pete Thamel, the Bowling Green Falcons fired men's basketball coach Chris Jans for inappropriate behavior he exhibited at a bar on March 21. An eyewitness tipped the school off to the incident.

The eyewitness also included a short video, which showed Jans inappropriately touching an unidentified woman. The Blade in Toledo posted the video online:

Thamel provided more information on the investigation launched by Bowling Green after being made aware of Jans' actions:

"

The university conducted an investigation after it received an email on March 22 entitled, "BGSU Basketball Coach Inappropriate Conduct." It accused Jans of being "sloppy drunk" and making inappropriate advances toward "several women." The daughter of the letter writer, who is a student-athlete at a different school, confronted Jans because she felt his behavior was so inappropriate for a coach.

"

Jordan Strack of WTOL 11 in Toledo provided the school's official statement regarding the affair:

CBS Sports' Gary Parrish felt that Jans could've been a serious candidate to replace Gregg Marshall at Wichita State in the event Marshall left:

ESPN's Bomani Jones doesn't foresee Jans having an illustrious career after this incident:

Jans spent one season at Bowling Green, leading the Falcons to a 21-12 record. The team finished third in the East division of the Mid-American Conference during the regular season and lost in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.

Before arriving at Bowling Green, Jans was an assistant coach at Wichita State and Illinois State among other stops in a coaching career that began in 1992.
