Warriors' Draymond Green Jokes He Will Miss Game vs. Clippers with 'Blake-Itis'
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin have had their fair share of battles on the court. Now, Green is taking that "fun" off the court.
The Clippers will host the Warriors at the Staples Center on Tuesday night. Golden State has already clinched the Western Conference, which means it can rest players in order to keep them healthy for the playoffs. Green missed Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with a shin injury, and his status for Tuesday's game is up in the air.
When asked if he will play against the Clippers, Green cracked a joke—at Griffin's expense. Here's what Green had to say, via Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group:
Oh snap.
On a serious note, Green may actually sit out the game, according to Leung:
Golden State has earned the right to be able to get its players healthy and rested for the postseason. If Green isn't healthy, there's no need for the Warriors to have him play on Tuesday. However, that doesn't mean he can't have some fun talking.
