Premier League Table: Latest 2015 EPL Standings and Outlook for Season Run-in
Chelsea look primed to take the title in the 2014-15 Premier League, the table-topping Blues currently sitting six points ahead of second-placed Manchester City with a game in hand.
However, almost every other key position below Jose Mourinho's side is effectively up for grabs with the season reaching the business end.
The Sky Blues are by no means certain of a second-placed finish to follow their 2013-14 triumph, while the relegation battle is still very open.

Top-Four Race

Manchester United took a huge step towards Champions League qualification for next season on Sunday as they beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield to move five points clear of the fifth-placed Reds with eight matches remaining.
Brendan Rodgers' men can draw themselves back into the top-four race next time out against Arsenal, but a defeat to the Gunners would effectively end their Champions League ambitions.
As can be seen below, per Purely Football, United have arguably the more difficult run-in with the season's end looming, thus Liverpool could make up significant ground with a win over Arsenal:
City just kept hold of their second spot with a victory over West Brom at the weekend, but Arsenal are just one point behind Manuel Pellegrini's side and United two.
The Manchester derby on April 12 could prove crucial at Old Trafford, with United and the Gunners having both hit form at just the right time, per Squawka, and looking to finish as high up the table as possible:
There looks set to be a scrap for the Europa League spots also, with Tottenham and Southampton just one point back from Liverpool, both Spurs and Saints' Champions League ambitions having been dashed in recent weeks.
Chelsea can, in theory, be caught at the top of the Premier League table, with fixtures against Arsenal, United and Liverpool to face in the coming weeks, but Mourinho surely has the experience to guide his team to the title.
Relegation Battle

It looks a long way back for Leicester City in the fight against relegation, as they now sit seven points from safety after an eight-match winless streak in which they have picked up just two points.
Though they have rarely been thrashed this season, Nigel Pearson's side have simply not picked up enough victories—they have won just four times—and the quality does not look to be there to engineer a great escape.
Similarly, QPR look destined to return to the Championship. They are four points from safety, but their recent form shows no indication of a turnaround in fortunes—their last victory came in February amidst a run in which they have lost nine out of 10 matches.
Burnley are currently the third side in the drop zone, and if the bottom three stays as it is now, all three promoted sides from last season will be relegated, a rarity in the Premier League, per WhoScored.com's Ali Tweedale:
However, the Clarets have shown in recent weeks that they have what it takes to escape the drop, beating Manchester City and taking a point at Chelsea.
Conversely, Sunderland—just one point above the drop zone—are in miserable form, having not won in eight matches and with only four victories all season, joint fewest with the Foxes.
The Black Cats look very unlikely to repeat their extraordinary heroics from last term, while Burnley clearly have the personnel to pick up the necessary results in a slightly easier run-in—Sunderland face trips to Arsenal and Chelsea in their last two games of the season.
