Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: DraftKings Rankings, Picks for Tuesday, March 24

Eric MackMar 24, 2015

No one can possibly rank ahead of the scorching Russell Westbrook in daily fantasy basketball, right? Well, we found another red-hot point guard to consider at a fraction of Westbrook's $13,200 cost, as we present the DraftKings rankings and picks for Tuesday, March 24.

PG Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons ($7,500)

Russell Westbrook's ($13,200) price has elevated to the ridiculous. Even if he might still be worth it as someone who can score enough for two players, you might struggle to find the right mix with him. Jackson is hot, too, going over 42 DraftKings points in each of his past four games. We also cannot be sure Westbrook is going to be pushing as hard in a blowout of the Los Angeles Lakers. Jackson will be going up against the Toronto Raptors, who happen to be 21st at DraftKings against point guards.

  1. Jackson, Pistons ($7,500)
  2. Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City ($13,200)
  3. Rajon Rondo, Dallas Mavericks ($5,800)
  4. Michael Carter-Williams, Milwaukee Bucks ($6,800)
  5. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors ($9,400)

SG DeMar DeRozan, Toronto Raptors ($7,700)

He has proven to be a model of consistency in March, and he draws the Pistons, who are just 26th at DraftKings against shooting guards. DeRozan is more than just a 20-point scorer, too, which helps his fantasy totals. He can post a handful of rebounds and assists, too. This could be a 20-10-5 night for him.

  1. DeRozan, Raptors ($7,700)
  2. Khris Middleton, Milwaukee Bucks ($6,500)
  3. Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat ($7,900)
  4. Ben McLemore, Sacramento Kings ($3,600)
  5. Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors ($7,000)

SF Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs ($8,100)

There is a fear Leonard could be rested for the postseason in spots, but we don't anticipate it happening against the in-state Dallas Mavericks. Leonard is coming off a 51-point fantasy performance Sunday and should contend for 20-10-5 again here against the Mavs. With Kevin Durant (foot) out and Rudy Gay (knee) a bit banged up, Leonard is easily the top small forward on the board.

  1. Leonard, Spurs ($8,100)
  2. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks ($7,100)
  3. Dorell Wright, Portland Trail Blazers ($3,500)
  4. Rudy Gay, Sacramento Kings ($7,700)
  5. Chandler Parsons, Dallas Mavericks ($6,400)

PF Ed Davis, Los Angeles Lakers ($4,700)

The Lakers have been struggling to find the right mix, but they might be getting closer with PG Jeremy Lin and Davis, two guys who have been productive in limited minutes. The Los Angeles Daily News' Mark Medina wrote Tuesday the pick-and-roll combo might start Tuesday night, giving them a showcase for daily fantasy players.

"He’s a pick and roll guy. I'm a pick and roll guy," Davis told Medina. "I'm trying to set screens and get him open. My man collapses on him and then I'll be open. I think both of us are pick and roll guys."

Lin echoed those sentiments to Medina about Davis:

"

He just rolls hard. He sets a screen and sets a great pick. He knows how to finish. The thing about Ed is you can give him the ball anywhere and he knows what to do with it. He isn't trying to do something that isn't his strength. If you give it to him early, he'll dribble down and score or you'll find a corner shooter. Or if you give it to him late, he'll probably dunk on somebody or finish with his left hand.

"

We boldly list Davis as the top play at power forward Tuesday night, mostly due to value.

  1. Davis, Lakers ($4,700)
  2. Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors ($7,500)
  3. Nerlens Noel, Philadelphia 76ers ($7,800)
  4. Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs ($6,900)
  5. Greg Monroe, Detroit Pistons ($7,500)

C Demarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings ($9,600)

Cousins has been slowed a bit by a calf injury of late, but the lowly 76ers won't slow him Tuesday night. In his past meeting against the 76ers, Cousins went for 39 points and 24 rebounds. This should be easy for him. Get him in all lineups.

  1. Cousins, Kings ($9,600)
  2. Enes Kanter, Oklahoma City Thunder ($7,200)
  3. Jonas Valanciunas, Toronto Raptors ($5,600)
  4. Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons ($8,400)
  5. Hassan Whiteside, Miami Heat ($7,500)
