Robben on Bench vs. Borussia Dortmund
Tuesday, April 28
Bayern Munich's official Twitter feed reported that Robben is amongst the subs against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, manager Pep Guardiola confirmed Robben's reappearance ahead of the upcoming clash, but suggested expectations shouldn't be too high considering his time out, reported by Peter Hanson of Goal.com:
"We need him," Guardiola said. "It's great news that he's back. But let's not forget that he's been out for five weeks. He won't need long to regain his fitness and rhythm. Robben is a special player. He could play, he is one of many options on the table."
Robben Misses Hertha Berlin Win
Thursday, April 23
FIFA.com reported that Robben participated in training prior to the side's 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday, per chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. He didn't feature, though.
Bayern only provided a vague timeline for Robben's return at the time of the injury:
Robben has been in tremendous form this season, scoring 17 league goals and providing seven assists, per WhoScored.com, and he is a huge loss to the Bayern side.
Guardiola will be pleased to see him return so quickly, and will be hoping he finds full fitness in time for the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
