Mike and Maurkice Pouncey Comment on Mike Wallace, Dolphins' Moves
If the comments by Maurkice Pouncey are any indication, the Miami Dolphins locker room will be just fine without wide receiver Mike Wallace. Speaking alongside twin brother and Dolphins offensive lineman Mike Pouncey, the Pittsburgh Steelers star called Wallace a "coward" among other things.
“In my opinion, he’s a coward,” Maurkice Pouncey said of the former Miami wideout, per a CBS4 interview released on Instagram (h/t Andrew Abramson of the The Palm Beach Post). “I never want a guy on my team like that, man, to walk out on your band of brothers.”
Maurkice Pouncey and Wallace played together in Pittsburgh from 2010 to 2012. Mike Pouncey was Wallace's teammate each of the last two seasons before the Dolphins traded Wallace to the Minnesota Vikings earlier this month. While less candid than his brother, it's clear from Mike's statements the Dolphins had no issues moving on from Wallace internally.

“Obviously, our organization felt the way about some guys and they got those guys out of our football team,” Mike Pouncey said during the interview, per Abramson. “I think it was the right move for everybody.”
Wallace responded to the comments via Twitter:
Maurkice would later post an Instagram further explaining his comments, suggesting they were taken out of context:
Wallace made 67 receptions for 862 yards and a team-high 10 touchdowns in 2014. His two-year stay in Miami was largely marked by disappointment after he signed a massive contract in free agency. The final image of Wallace's tenure with the team was him sitting the second half of the Dolphins' season-ending loss to the New York Jets.
“I would never, ever in a million years quit on my team,” Wallace said, responding to critics who said he chose to sit out that game, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
The Dolphins secured a fifth-round pick and sent a seventh-rounder to Minnesota along with Wallace. Minnesota will obviously hope the change of scenery will do wonders for his relationship with teammates and his quarterback.
Meanwhile in Miami, it seems like Wallace's teammates won't have too many problems moving on without him.
