College Football's Most Important Offers of the Week

Jim Harbaugh is anxious to make a splash with Michigan’s 2016 class—which will represent his first full cycle since taking over the Wolverines program.

One player he is targeting to lure to Ann Arbor is 4-star defensive tackle Boss Tagaloa, who stars at famed powerhouse De La Salle High School in Concord, California.

According to Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247, Michigan extended an offer to Golden State product.

As Lorenz notes, this is an offer that the 6’3”, 295-pounder has been waiting for—mainly because of his affinity for Harbaugh.

Tagaloa told Lorenz:

"

It's really a surreal feeling to get the opportunity to play for him. When I got the offer, I guess I couldn't really put it into words how I felt. It's just been a really great blessing to have all of these opportunities. Not that long ago, I was watching Coach Harbaugh coach my favorite team and now I could possibly play for him in college. That's a really cool feeling.

"

Another interesting note is that the Wolverines are pursuing Tagaloa as a linemen who could potentially play on either side of the ball.

A potential bonus for the Wolverines is that he is good friends with prep teammate and 4-star tight end Devin Asiasi, who is another prospect being vigorously pursued by Harbaugh and his staff.

While Lorenz notes that Tagaloa is currently planning to decide on national signing day, he will be a prospect worth monitoring closely for Wolverines fans.

FSU Offers and Gets JUCO LB Commit

Linebacker is one of the top needs for Jimbo Fisher and his staff in the 2016 cycle.

Last week, Florida State pulled the trigger in offering 4-star JUCO linebacker Tyree Horton:

It didn’t take long for Horton—who also received offers from Auburn and Florida—to pounce on the offer from the ‘Noles, as he committed to FSU two days later.

The 6’0”, 225-pounder is originally from Homestead, Florida, and he tallied 63 tackles with 6.5 sacks and three interceptions as a freshman at Highland (Kansas) Community College last season.

Top DE Nets Trio of Offers

One of the top pass-rushers in the 2016 class is 4-star defensive end Auston Robertson.

The 6’5”, 230-pounder picked up offers from Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ole Miss last week.

The Indiana native rates as the nation’s No. 8 weak-side defensive end in the 2016 class.

Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee are among the other schools who are in the picture for Robertson.

Notre Dame and Texas A&M Offer 2016 South Carolina Pledge

2016 4-star athlete Kyle Davis is one of many standout recruits who play for Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The 6’3”, 220-pounder, who has been committed to South Carolina since last summer, could play receiver or multiple positions on defense at the next level.

Last week, Notre Dame and Texas A&M were the latest schools to offer Davis, who has more than 20 offers under his belt.

While he’s maintained his commitment to Steve Spurrier and his staff, he’s clearly a prospect that the Gamecocks will have to fight to hold onto.

Best of the Rest

  • According to Adam Gorney of Rivals, Duke is the latest school to offer 4-star corner C.J. Pollard.
