Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba will miss the clash with Eibar on March 14 after picking up a yellow card during the demolition of Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou on Sunday, as SPORT revealed:
The Spaniard has been an ever-present in the Barcelona setup this season, which means that manager Luis Enrique will need to shuffle his pack ahead of the trip to Eibar.
Talented Brazilian Adriano replaced Alba shortly after his booking on Sunday, and he’ll likely step in as cover at the weekend.
The good news for Barcelona, though, is that their first-choice left-back will be back in action in El Clasico on March 22, and it’s just as well, as the match may decide the La Liga title.
