Gibson Will Play vs. Raptors
Friday, March 20
Gibson will play Friday vs. Toronto, per ESPN's Nick Friedell.
On March 18, Friedell reported that "Taj Gibson said he took contact in practice for 1st time yesterday since latest injury. Hopes he can play at some point this weekend."
K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune spoke to head coach Tom Thibodeau on March 15, who said that Gibson is practicing with the team and getting closer to a return to the lineup.
On March 5, Friedell reported that Thibodeau said "Gibson is 'improving' but still expects him to miss a few more games because of his ankle injury."
The Minnesota Timberwolves' PR department announced Gibson would sit out the rest of the Bulls' game against the T-Wolves:
An unfortunate hallmark for the Bulls over the last two years has been injuries. They have been able to overcome them enough to make the playoffs, but it's caught up to them in the postseason.
Gibson is a valuable role player in Tom Thibodeau's rotation, averaging 10.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
