Chelsea Transfer News: Eden Hazard Confirms 'There Was Never Anything with PSG'
A collective sigh was heard over west London as Eden Hazard inked a new five-and-a-half-year contract to stay with Chelsea, per Sky Sports.
The Belgian has been the subject of repeated links to Paris Saint-Germain since joining the Stamford Bridge club, but on the eve of facing his potential French suitors in the Champions League, he has admitted joining the Parc des Princes squad never crossed his mind.
"Personally, there has never been anything with PSG," he told French television station TF1 (h/t Ian Holyman of ESPN FC). "I knew from the start I wanted to stay. I don't want to move, I'm good here."

Good, he certainly is. Hazard has knocked in 11 goals and provided seven assists across 31 appearances in all competitions this season, per WhoScored.com. The same stat-collecting company recently provided an in-depth breakdown of the 24-year-old's terrific form:
Hazard scored during his last visit to the French capital, netting a penalty when Chelsea fell 3-1 to PSG in April 2014. Jose Mourinho's side had enough power to beat their visitors 2-0 in the second leg to reach the semis but will be hoping things aren't quite so tight when this year's two-legged round-of-16 tie begins.
Chelsea are currently seven points clear atop the Premier League while PSG are two points short of the lead in Ligue 1. Hazard's incisive dribbling play and increasing willingness to track back will be vital against Laurent Blanc's 4-3-3, which sees plenty of action filtered down the wings.
B/R UK's Garry Hayes recently indicated why Europe's elite can no longer dream of securing Hazard for their own cause:
With his commitment confirmed in writing, Hazard now has the opportunity to focus on the club's push for silverware as the culmination of the season approaches.
