The Bucks' official Twitter account reported the news and indicated Bayless wouldn't return to the contest at the BMO Harris Bradley Center:
Bayless is a key player off the bench for Milwaukee who packs scoring punch. He was averaging eight points and 3.1 assists per game entering Wednesday's action.
Bucks head coach Jason Kidd has done an exceptional job of bringing along starting point guard Brandon Knight, not to mention reshuffling the rotation after rookie Jabari Parker went down for the season.
While Bayless gets better, it stands to reason that Jorge Gutierrez will see more minutes as Knight's primary backup.
