Sports Stars Screaming Maniacally
Sports brings out a lot of emotions in people, so it's no wonder that some of our favorite athletes are often seen celebrating a big play by letting out an uncontrollable scream.
While fans are often thought of as the ones who yell at the top of their lungs, players have done it just as often.
For that reason, here are some of the best moments of sports stars screaming maniacally.
Shabazz Muhammad Throws It Down
1 of 12It might not be highlight-worthy, but Minnesota Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad was still just as pumped following this slam against the Los Angeles Lakers as he would have been had he slammed it down on a defender.
Leading a two-on-one break, Muhammad showed off his athleticism by finishing with a hard jam, letting out a scream to accentuate it a bit more.
Talk to Your Javelin
2 of 12We've all been in that position before, when we just can't help but blame a piece of equipment for making us look bad during a sport.
In this case, though, a Russian javelin thrower is actually screaming at his equipment to guide it to the place he wants it to go—which is really far.
So all those times you catch yourself yelling at the TV for a baseball to go foul or your shot on the golf course to find the green are totally normal.
Ryan Fitzpatrick's Falsetto
3 of 12He might look like a lumberjack for the majority of the NFL season, rocking a bushy beard that is more prominent in the woods than on a football field, but the Houston Texans' Ryan Fitzpatrick has shown he isn't just a burly man.
Screaming with quite the high-pitched voice following a touchdown pass a few seasons ago, Fitzpatrick appears to have some serious pipes on him—even if they are only heard out after he's added points to the scoreboard.
Andrew Shaw Isn't Silent
4 of 12There's nothing like celebrating a big goal with your teammates.
When it happens during a Stanley Cup Final, though, it brings out just a little bit more emotion than a game-winner during the regular season—and Chicago Blackhawks center Andrew Shaw showed that here.
Deflecting one of his teammates' shots into the back of the net against the Boston Bruins, Shaw's triple-overtime winner not only set the tone for the entire series but let us understand how crazy it is to score such a goal—while helping the Hawks win the Stanley Cup that year.
Julius Thomas Knows It's Just Too Easy
5 of 12Note: Video contains NSFW language
Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas sure has burst onto the scene over the past couple of years, hasn't he?
Becoming a dream for Broncos fans and fantasy football owners everywhere, Thomas has caught a combined 108 balls for 1,277 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Considering he was a fourth-round draft pick out of Portland State, one might say that he's, well, making it look easy.
That's how the guy himself described it during a game against the New York Jets in 2014, screaming as such following his second touchdown of the game.
Let's face it, with Peyton Manning throwing the ball, he makes the game a hell of a lot easier for anyone on the receiving end.
Cristiano Ronaldo's Untimely Scream
6 of 12Earning his third Ballon d'Or for his on-pitch performances during 2014, Cristiano Ronaldo left little doubt as to where he currently ranks on the list of the top soccer players in the world.
Yet, as enthusiastic as he was to accept the award, he did something that caught everyone off-guard—especially the president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter.
With an emphatic scream, CR7 showed a side of himself that fans rarely see, scaring Blatter and causing the Internet to have some fun in the process.
Pau Gasol Has a Habit
7 of 12The Chicago Bulls' Pau Gasol has been one of the best big men of the past decade-plus, being a key piece to any team with championship aspirations.
The Spaniard might be headed to his fifth All-Star Game this weekend, joining his brother Marc from the Memphis Grizzlies, but he's also one of the best players in the league at something else: screaming.
Whether Gasol is dunking it, fading away or battling an opposing player for a rebound, he just can't seem to keep his mouth from letting out a roar—as this compilation so beautifully shows.
John Randles Defines Crazy
8 of 12He may have retired back in 2003, but Hall of Fame defensive tackle John Randle might still top the list as the most maniacal athlete to ever play a sport.
Yelling with no regard—and in some cases, making no sense—Randle was a pro at using his words and screams to try and intimidate opponents.
It's no wonder he gave fans so many classic moments any time he was mic'd up during his 14-year career.
Chris Bosh Roars
9 of 12Nice or not, one thing that fans have always compared Miami Heat All-Star Chris Bosh to is a dinosaur.
Knowing that there are a ton of things less threatening and worse to call someone than an extinct creature, Bosh typically takes it in stride.
And whether he means to or not, the two-time NBA champion feeds the perception, as he did with this put-back slam during the 2011 NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.
Paul George Dunks on the King
10 of 12As someone who is just 5'8", I've never had the chance to throw down a slam dunk on anything but a seven-foot hoop—which I haven't even tried since I was in middle school.
For that reason, it's always insane when an NBA player not only does it with emphasis but does so over the best basketball player on the planet, LeBron James.
But that's what Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George did last season—and thankfully, he was mic'd up for everyone watching to hear how stoked he was after doing so.
Tom Brady Celebrates His 4th
11 of 12Winning a Super Bowl is a feeling that, more than likely, none of us have ever experienced in our lifetime.
So if you want to know just how incredible the feeling is, just listen to future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady leaping up and down and screaming like a little school girl after his New England Patriots teammate Malcolm Butler intercepted a pass at the team's one-yard-line to capture Brady's fourth Super Bowl title.
Brady might try and seem tough on the surface, but this video—along with his wearing Uggs—proves he's nothing but a big softy.
Kevin Garnett Reminds Us That Anything Is Possible
12 of 12One of my favorite post-championship interviews of all time came in 2008 after the Boston Celtics won their 17th title in franchise history, giving future Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett his first ring.
When asked a simple question by reporter Michele Tafoya, KG didn't hold back his emotion, screaming into the mic: "Anything is possible!"
Whether by design, the company who writes million-dollar checks to Garnett, Adidas, was probably the first thing fans thought of, seeing it as a brilliant marketing tool.
It's too bad he botched it, screaming the wrong words on live TV. Hey, the emotion just got the best of him.
