Ravel Morrison's Contract Terminated by West Ham: Latest Details and Reaction
The Ravel Morrison saga has come to a close at West Ham, as the midfielder's contract has been terminated by the club.
West Ham made the news official in a press release on their website:
"West Ham United can confirm that the Club have reached agreement with Ravel Morrison to terminate his contract with immediate effect. The 22-year-old midfielder joined West Ham in January 2012 and made 24 appearances in his three years at the Club, scoring five goals. The Hammers would like to wish Ravel every success in his future career.

The release was a long time coming. Morrison and manager Sam Allardyce reportedly had a falling out last season and he appeared in just one Premier League game this year for West Ham as a substitute in August. He was loaned to Cardiff City and made just six appearances off the bench for the club.
He made 16 Premier League appearances for West Ham last season, scoring three goals and adding two assists.
Morrison already had an agreement in place to join Lazio on July 1, per Football Italia, and he posted this photo to Instagram a week ago, so his future is clear.
Still, it will be interesting to see if he joins Lazio now or waits until over the summer. And it will be just as interesting to see if the 22-year-old with so much potential can live up to it at Lazio or will continue to be a case of misplaced ability and upside.
