Cristiano Ronaldo Named Greatest Premier League Player in PA Sport Survey
Cristiano Ronaldo has beaten the likes of Thierry Henry and Ryan Giggs to be named the Premier League's greatest player in a survey carried out by PA Sport.
The former Manchester United star, who captured every trophy worth winning during his six-year tenure at Old Trafford, received 177 of 747 votes cast, according to PA Sport (h/t ESPN FC). Although 1,000 punters made their voice heard, an indecisive selection didn't count, as noted in the aforementioned article:
"In an online poll of 1,000 members of the public, the choice offered was between Ronaldo, Henry, Giggs and fellow luminaries Eric Cantona, Gianfranco Zola, Dennis Bergkamp, Steven Gerrard, Alan Shearer, Roy Keane and Patrick Vieira.
Marginally over a quarter of those surveyed chose an 11th option, specified as 'other/don't know'.

Ronaldo's form for the Red Devils led him to becoming the world's most expensive player in 2009. He set Real Madrid back a hefty £80 million, a sum now eclipsed by fellow Los Blancos star Gareth Bale, who cost £85.3 million.
CR7 won his first Ballon d'Or while developing at the Theatre of Dreams and has since captured two further accolades at the Bernabeu, winning consecutive awards in 2014 and 2015.
One of the most marketable athletes on the planet, ESPN FC's report suggests that Ronaldo "ruled the roost for both men and women." He is a scorer of great goals, a regular match-winner and just so happens to have immaculately pruned eyebrows, undoubtedly a major draw for all.
