Manchester United vs. Cambridge United

As the lowest-ranked team remaining in the FA Cup, Cambridge United will attempt to recreate the same heroics at Old Trafford on Tuesday that led them to a 0-0 stalemate against the Red Devils last week.

Ahead of the fixture, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has hinted at a witch-hunt against his side, per the Guardian's Jamie Jackson, stating that the majority of support runs in favour of the League Two outfit:

"

Everything is against you at Manchester United and everything is in favour of the underdog. Also from you [media] but you shall not do it consciously but unconsciously – it’s human – I forgive you.

In spite of all the criticism we have had from you and your [media] colleagues, we are still in the FA Cup and a lot of teams are not, so I’m still happy that we can play this match. But you have to win because they are coming also with two rows of four and a goalkeeper and dropping in a striker, and you have to make the first goal because that is the most important goal, so it’s not such an easy game.

"

It's natural instinct to rally around an underdog in circumstances such as this, but for all the resilience displayed at Abbey Stadium in February, Richard Money would appear doomed to watch his side's tale end here.

Van Gaal rested key players in the reverse fixture and is likely to do so again as he contemplates a trip to West Ham United next Sunday, but even they should be able to see the top-flight team through.

If there's any venue at which United have been able to call upon their best this season, Old Trafford is it, and the whole occasion should prove a step too far for visiting Cambridge.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Cambridge United

Fulham vs. Sunderland

Another 0-0 stalemate of the fourth-round slate saw Sunderland close out a familiarly drab affair at the Stadium of Light, where they restrained the Cottagers but were just as restricted in front of goal themselves.

Hopefully, with Jermain Defoe now more settled in his north-east surroundings, the Black Cats will be able to unearth a more clinical edge in attack, with Chris Young of the Sunderland Echo confirming squad changes will be made:

A 2-0 win over Burnley at the weekend has put Gus Poyet's side in high spirits, but Fulham now haven't won in two, albeit both of those being away from home.

Striker Ross McCormack is hopeful of seeing the west Londoners through to the next round, quoted by Goal.com's Alex Fisher as saying:

"

It's a good chance at Craven Cottage, where we've proven we can beat anyone – we can blow teams away and we'll definitely be looking to do that," he told the club's official website. I've heard a lot of people say that we should have beaten Sunderland at their place, but if you look at the game they had quite a few chances.

Betts [goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli] probably kept us in the game so I think a draw was a fair result in the end. If we were given that before the game, a clean sheet against a Premier League team and taking them back to the Cottage, I think we might have taken that.

"

Fulham have won their last two games on the trot when playing in front of a home crowd, whereas Sunderland haven't claimed an away victory since mid-December.

That being said, Poyet's men showed a different motivation against the Clarets on Saturday and should be capable of fending off the Championship threat.

Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Sunderland

Bolton Wanderers vs. Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool side can in some way make up for their Capital One Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Chelsea by beating Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup this week.

The Reds chief isn't looking to take the threat of Neil Lennon's team lightly, either, saying he intends to go out with victory in sight, despite hinting at some personnel changes, per James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo:

A 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday saw the Merseysiders bounce back into form and continue their upward turn, while Bolton have claimed just one league win from their last five outings.

The Trotters have looked significantly more threatening at the Reebok Stadium this term, netting 22 goals at home compared to the haul of 11 in foreign territory.

However, Liverpool's improving defence has been a backbone of their success of late, keeping three clean sheets in their last five games, with Bolton perhaps incapable of making the dents necessary.

Prediction: Bolton Wanderers 0-2 Liverpool
