Oxlade-Chamberlain Available vs. West Brom
Sunday, May 24
Arsenal announced Oxlade-Chamberlain is available to substitute today.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was replaced by Aaron Ramsey during the 2-1 victory against Manchester United on March 9.
The midfielder originally picked up a groin injury over the Christmas period, as reported by Rajvir Rai of the Mail Online, forcing the England international to have an injection in a bid to get him playing once again.
Oxlade-Chamberlain's stock has risen in the past year, having had further opportunities due to Theo Walcott's long-term injury problems.
But the player has had issues himself, dating back to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where his fitness restricted his full involvement. His development curve has remained intact, though.
The Ox has racked up plenty of games this season but has been less creative than expected.
He is still regarded as one of England's great future hopes, but the competition for Arsenal's attacking positions is now vastly congested.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is Wenger's most burgeoning talent and has proved to be an excellent signing after arriving from Southampton's famed youth academy in 2011.
He has true star potential, and if he can stay fit, he is sure to become a mainstay for club and country.
But the player does seem to suffer from a multitude of pulls and strains, and Arsenal need to address this before they manifest into something more sinister.
