Wolfsburg vs. Bayern Munich: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Wolfsburg have the chance to at least temporarily interrupt Bayern Munich's utter domination of this season's Bundesliga. The race for the title is barely even that as Munich are 11 points ahead of their second-placed opponents, per Bundesliga.com.
That's why it's important for manager Dieter Hecking's squad to cause even a minor blip for Bayern. Of course, that won't be easy against the team that's still unbeaten this season.

Hecking may hope to rely on midfield power to stifle Bayern's possession-based game. He can call on bruising former Munich man Luiz Gustavo to put that plan into action.

However, Bayern could bypass the brutality in the middle simply by playing around Wolfsburg's enforcer. Gustavo will likely have memories of the German national team, many of whom play for Bayern, doing the same to him during a 7-1 annihilation of Brazil at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking of bad memories, Wolfsburg's own of recent encounters with Bayern could cause a few nightmares in Hecking's camp. Last March, Munich won 6-1 at the Volkswagen Arena.
A good way to avoid a repeat would be finding a way to control veteran winger Arjen Robben. Now into his 30s, Robben remains the most feared attacking threat for Bayern, as numbers via Opta Franz reveal:
The brilliant Dutchman will have to again carry the burden, particularly since fellow winger Franck Ribery has been ruled out with a muscle injury, per the club's official Twitter feed:
Wolfsburg must find a way to keep Robben quiet, while also unleashing their own threat from wide areas. Ivan Perisic is the player Bayern should be most wary of. He could make a timely return from a groin injury, according to Goal.com.
Quick, strong and intelligent, the Croatia international is at his best when ghosting off the flank to make a late dart through the middle. If he's available to start, the 25-year-old represents Wolfsburg's best route to an unlikely victory.
It's a prospect that looks more unlikely after Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski confessed to finally feeling comfortable with life in Munich. The one-time Borussia Dortmund star struggled early on for Bayern.
But the Poland international has since been steadily finding the net. He recently spoke of his growing confidence, per Sport Bild (h/t Goal.com writer Stefan Coerts): "Things only got better from there on. I am confident that I will score more goals after the winter break. I think I have done reasonably well in my first six months at the club."
Lewandowski's power and clever movement could prove too much for the Wolfsburg defence.
Prediction: Wolfsburg 1-3 Bayern Munich
Count on Lewandowski and Robben combining to create a host of chances. Ultimately, Bayern's greater quality in forward areas will make the difference after a tense opening.
