Stephan El Shaarawy Injury: Updates on AC Milan Star's Foot and Return
AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy is set to be out of action for at least six weeks after suffering an injury to his foot in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Lazio in Serie A.
The club confirmed on its official website on Monday that the 22-year-old Italian international had broken a bone in his toe toward the end of the weekend's loss:
"The player, right at the end of the match against Lazio on Saturday evening, sustained a fracture at the base of his fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot following a challenge. The therapy that has been established is that of conservative treatment. For around 6 weeks, El Shaarawy will wear a foot support and following that he will undergo further medical tests.

It is an unfortunate blow for El Shaaraway, who has been plagued by injury in recent times; however, Italian football expert James Horncastle does not believe Milan will suffer hugely in his prolonged absence—he has scored just one league goal in 15 matches this season, per WhoScored.com:
It is not good news for Filippo Inzaghi's side, though, as they currently sit 10th in Serie A, having not won in the league in their last five matches.
