UK Back Pages: Kevin Mirallas Ridiculed, United Fight Off David De Gea Interest

Kevin Mirallas will be a hot-button topic in the coming days in what otherwise would have been a forgettable 0-0 draw between Everton and West Brom on Monday night. 

Mirallas controversially took a late first-half penalty instead of Leighton Baines, Everton's typical spot-kick taker, and promptly scuffed his shot wide of the target. 

As a result, the Belgian was disgraced in Tuesday's back pages. 

The Daily Mirror also reports that misfiring Tottenham frontman Roberto Soldado could be offered a new home in the Bundesliga.

Mirallas is dubbed "despicable" in Sun Sport, where Brendan Rodgers is also pleading for a strong Liverpool performance in Tuesday night's League Cup semi-final with Chelsea.
