While one Ronaldo is taking up all the headlines for his Ballon d'Or triumph, another famous Ronaldo was making headlines in the Caribbean.
Ronaldo, the one of the Brazilian variety, made a deep run in the PokerStars Caribbean main event in the Bahamas.
The World Cup winner entered Day 4 in 18th place and at that point would have made no less than $24,000 for his card-savvy moves at the table.

Unfortunately, Ronaldo was knocked out by his compatriot Eugenio Mattar, a Brazilian entrepreneur, netting upward of $42,000 for his best yet run. He finished in 25th place.
He also gave some participants lasting memories.

Ronaldo said on Instagram: "Thanks everyone Pokerstars for the support! The tournament was a big challenge [and] I'm so stoked—the field was 816 [and] I got 25th. Congrats to all who made this happen!"
The winner of the tournament will walk with a cool $1.4 million.
