Lionel Messi Rocks a Very Similar-Coloured Suit as Last Year's Ballon d'Or Gala

As much as the Ballon d'Or Gala is a celebration of FIFA's most prestigious individual awards, it's also typically a bit of a spectacle. 

Players, fans, managers and those in attendance are in the spotlight for a night, as are their fashion decisions. 

To much fanfare, Lionel Messi selected a similar look to the red hue he wore at last year's ceremony. 

His fashion statements weren't universally well received, in spite of much anticipation for what kind of look he'd show up in. 

Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, went with a much more traditional black-and-white look. 

While some on Team Ronaldo's A Diver had some other ideas on his selection of nightwear.
