Knicks' Dreadful Start to 2014-15 Season Has Reporter Looking for New Beat

The 2014-15 NBA regular season is only approaching its midway point, but one team's dreadful start to the season has already taken its toll on a beat writer.

At 5-32, the New York Knicks own the NBA's worst record. They are currently riding a 12-game losing streak and are 1-22 over their past 23 games. Yikes.

The team is dealing with some roster issues at the moment. Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has been out with a knee injury, and on Monday night, the Knicks traded away J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert. There aren't many names in the lineup that a casual NBA fan would recognize.

With the rest of the season looking bleak, The New York Times is trying to help out its Knicks beat writer by asking readers to recommend games he should cover:
