Giants OL Geoff Schwartz Can't Wait to Use Ndamukong Suh's 'Cold' Excuse
That darn cold weather can make people do some unfortunate things.
For example, it was apparently the reason Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh stepped on the leg of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 17.
Suh was initially suspended one game for his actions, but he appealed the suspension and won, per a league statement. On Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed what Suh used as a defense during his appeal hearing:

Cold feet, eh? That's a new one.
New York Giants offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz liked Suh's excuse:
"Mr official, my hands were frozen, otherwise I wouldn't have held that guy. Totally using that next season.

Good luck with that.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello noted on Twitter that independent arbitrator Ted Cottrell did not buy the excuse. Cottrell just believed that a hefty fine was more appropriate than a suspension.
