Coleman was one of the nation's best backs in 2014 as he rushed for 2,036 yards and 15 touchdowns for a Hoosiers team that was fairly devoid of talent elsewhere.

The 6'1", 210-pound star joins a stacked class that already includes Georgia's Todd Gurley and Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon. Despite that, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller views him as an elite prospect at the position:

Draft value for running backs has waned in recent years, so it may be difficult for Coleman to earn a first-round grade, but there is little doubt that he will be one of the first players at his position off the board.

Coleman couldn't have possibly boosted has draft stock much more by staying at Indiana, and it isn't as if he he would have had the opportunity to vie for a national championship or even a Big Ten title either.

It is tough to argue with Coleman's decision as it may turn out to be an extremely lucrative one.
