Kobe Bryant Says the 'Mamba Army' Takes After Its Captain

Kyle NewportDec 29, 2014

If anyone messes with the Black Mamba, be prepared to deal with the Mamba Army.

There was recently a Twitter beef between two people that ended up leading to a conversation about Kobe Bryant and whether the Black Mamba was helping or hurting the Los Angeles Lakers. For those who haven't followed it, Deadspin's Tom Ley kept track of the feud.

One of the tweeters dissed Bryant, and things got crazy from there. After exchanging tweets, the two agreed to settle their dispute in person by meeting in Temecula, California. The Mamba supporter did indeed make the 35-minute drive to Temecula (warning: tweet contains NSFW language), but the other person did not show up because he was in Arizona, not California, at the time.

To make a long story short, the Mamba Army doesn't back down.

When ESPN's Arash Markazi talked to Bryant about the Temecula tweets, the Black Mamba provided an epic response:

The Mamba supporter wants to make it known that the beef was not really about Bryant. However, the Black Mamba likes what he sees out of one of his followers.
