Tottenham and Manchester United failed to score in Sunday's early match, keeping each other on their toes at White Hart Lane for the full 90 minutes. Despite the scoreline, fans were treated to an excellent and entertaining match, the perfect end to a great year of football.

Hugo Lloris and David de Gea each put in fantastic performances, with United dominating early and the hosts having the better of play late. As shared by Manchester Evening News' Rob Dawson, the fact that some saw the Red Devils' draw as a missed opportunity is telling of how far the visitors have come:

Likewise, an in-form Spurs squad will have felt more was possible in this match, but a draw against United is never a bad result. That didn't stop Mauricio Pochettino from taking one final shot at Louis van Gaal, via The Associated Press' Rob Harris:

Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard scored the two goals in Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Southampton, but manager Jose Mourinho was livid after the final whistle, as he believed his team were not given a clear penalty.

He went as far as to suggest officials are now targeting the Blues, according to ITV Football:

The club were also unhappy reporters ran with the quote, via Harris:

The result meant Manchester City could have gained on the Blues in the Premier League standings, but they too managed only a draw, giving up a two-goal lead against Burnley.

George Boyd and Ashley Barnes were the heroes for the visitors, cancelling out goals from David Silva and Fernandinho.

As one might expect, manager Sean Dyche was very proud of his players, via the Premier League's official Twitter feed:

Arsenal survived an early barrage of chances and scored twice on just two shots to take a 2-0 lead into half-time against West Ham United, and the Gunners showed their defensive improvements in the second half, holding on for a pivotal win.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez used their pace well to keep the Hammers honest, while youngster Francis Coquelin was excellent as a holding midfielder. As shared by Bleacher Report UK's James McNicholas, Arsene Wenger told reporters he was happy he gambled on the Frenchman:

Leicester City shocked Hull City, winning 1-0, while Newcastle United took advantage of a handful of mental lapses to get past Everton 3-2. Stoke City beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0, and all other matches ended in draws.

Liverpool and Swansea City will play on Monday, the final Premier League match of the calendar year.
