UK Back Pages: Arsenal Making a £20M Move for Sporting's William Carvalho?

Have Arsenal finally found their solution to the long-unfulfilled defensive-midfielder problem? 

Arsene Wenger is being linked with a move for longtime target William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window. 

It's not the only big news rumoured: John Terry could be extending his Chelsea stay, and a former Manchester United stalwart could be returning to the club. 

The Daily Mail report the rumour that Wenger will table a £20 million bid for the powerful Portuguese midfielder, Carvalho.

Star Sport report that Terry will earn a new deal for his strong play from the back for Chelsea. They also report that Manchester Untied are targeting longtime United man and former captain Nemanja Vidic to shore up their defence.

Daily Express report the same Terry news along with tipping Tim Sherwood as the next Crystal Palace boss and noting that James Milner is nearing an exit from Manchester City.
