Kroos Starts vs. Juventus
Wednesday, May 13
Kroos will start on Wednesday against Juventus after leaving Saturday's match with a knock, according to Real Madrid's official Twitter feed.
The club never considered the 25-year-old's injury a serious one, and manager Carlo Ancelotti was optimistic that he would make a return soon after the Valencia clash.
"Kroos had a bang on hip, we will weigh it up [Sunday]. Does not seem muscular problem, so we are pretty positive," manager Carlo Ancelotti stated after the match on Saturday, per ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan.
The Germany international arrived at the Bernabeu from Bayern Munich during the summer of 2014 and immediately became an impact starter in Ancelotti's side.
Kroos struggled with a series of minor injuries earlier in his career but has remained relatively healthy over the past two seasons, per Transfermarkt.com, so Ancelotti must hope this setback is just a minor issue and not a return to the concerns of old.
