Paulo Freitas of Sky Sports reported that Coutinho will miss Sunday's game.
Kristian Walsh of the Liverpool Echo reported the Brazilian midfielder "went for a scan after picking up a knock, believed to be on his thigh, in training." Walso added that he should be good to go for Brazil's remaining matches.
“All the players are available, there is no risk of cutting,” Brazil coach Dunga said about the possibility of Coutinho missing the tournament, per Walsh.
He scored five goals and bagged five assists in the Premier League last season, per WhoScored.com. After a slow start, he came on strongly during the second half of the campaign, leading Liverpool's charge up the table.
With his intricate work in possession and unwavering eye for a through pass, Coutinho is an engrossing player to watch, and much is expected of him during the 2015 Copa America.
Coutinho is one of the game’s finest attacking midfielders on his day, and it’d be a shame to see his stellar form curtailed by a knock.
