The Brazilian starlet's current deal runs until June 2018, but Barca are trying to extend his contract until 2020, confirmed in the aforementioned report.
Contact between the Blaugrana and Neymar's father—who takes control of the 22-year-old's business dealings—has been "constant" according to Frieros' report. It is also claimed "both parties have taken the first steps towards a deal" which will see him earn around €5 million per year, similar to Luis Suarez.

Neymar has scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 18 appearances this season, per WhoScored.com. His relationship with Lionel Messi and Suarez continues to form, signalling a bright future for the Camp Nou side.
As noted by Frieros, his termination clause will remain at the €190 million mark, providing Barca with one of world football's greatest stars with which to build their team around for years to come.
