10 Best Golazos from World Football This Weekend

Ryan BaileyDec 14, 2014

Bleacher Report's weekend golazo ranking accepts entries from every league in the world, but certain players are skilful enough to have earned a disproportionate amount of appearances in this list.

Bayer Leverkusen's Hakan Calhanoglu, Milan's Jeremy Menez and Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben are repeat offenders, and they all feature here along with great efforts from Spain and the Netherlands.

Enjoy this week's countdown, in which the Premier League is notable by its absence...

10. Jeremy Menez (Milan) vs. Napoli

1 of 10

Jeremy Menez has the uncanny ability to make beautiful goals look effortless. The Frenchman earned another spot in B/R's weekly golazo rankings by scoring Milan's first goal in their 2-0 win over Napoli on Sunday.

The 27-year-old beat his defender with a sublime touch near the edge of the area before calmly finishing past Rafael in the Partenopei goal.

9. Luciano Vietto (Villarreal) vs. Atletico Madrid

2 of 10

Atletico Madrid suffered their first home defeat in the calendar year of 2014 when Villarreal visited the Vicente Calderon.

The visitors poached three points in the 84th minute when Luciano Vietto broke through the defence and poked a wonderful finish over Miguel Angel Moya.

8. Oscar de Marcos (Athletic Club) vs. Real Sociedad

3 of 10

David Moyes' Real Socieded went ahead in the Basque derby on Sunday, but Athletic Club scored an impressive equaliser shortly after the hour mark.

Susaeta curled in a brilliant cross which Oscar de Marcos coolly finished with a volley into the net via the crossbar.

7. Isco (Real Madrid) vs. Almeria

4 of 10

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 24th and 25th league goals of the season in Real Madrid's 4-1 win at Almeria on Friday.

The best goal of the evening, however, was the first, which came from the right boot of Isco. The Spaniard picked up the ball on the left side of the area and curled a wonderful shot across the face of the goal.

6. Zlatko Junuzovic (Werder Bremen) vs. Hannover

5 of 10

Struggling Werder Bremen played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Hannover on Saturday. The best goal of the match was Bremen's first in the 36th minute, a pinpoint free-kick by Zlatko Junuzovic.

Bremen's Franco Di Santo was watching the game from the stands and posted his view on the goal—and his reaction—on his Instagram feed

5. Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) vs. Augsburg

6 of 10

Bayern Munich maintained their assault on the Bundesliga on Saturday with a 4-0 win over fellow Bavarians Augsburg.

Robert Lewandowski scored an impressive goal, but Robben was the star of the show with a second-half brace. His first, in the 59th minute, was a wonderful "Robben-esque" strike from outside the area.

The Dutchman needed a good performance to take attention away from this hilarious fail as the teams emerged.

4. Albert Rusnak (Cambuur) vs. Go Ahead Eagles

7 of 10

In the Eredivisie, Cambuur pulled off a 2-1 win at struggling Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday. The decisive goal came in the 73rd minute, when Albert Rusnak hit the back of the net in stunning fashion from 35 yards.

The Czech right-winger is on loan at Cambuur from Manchester City and will no doubt have aroused the interest of his parent club with this bobby-dazzler.

3. Hakan Calhanoglu (Bayer Leverkusen) vs. Borussia Monchengladbach

8 of 10

Calhanoglu is a very regular fixture in these golazo rankings, thanks mainly to his phenomenal skill from free-kicks; however, the Turkish midfielder features this week for a brilliant goal from open play.

The 20-year-old opened the scoring in Bayer Leverkusen's 1-1 draw with Monchengladbach from a classic route-one move. Stefan Kiessling headed down a long ball from the Bayer keeper, which Calhanoglu controlled and blasted in from outside the area.

2. Radja Nainggolan (Roma) vs. Genoa

9 of 10

Roma maintained pressure on Juventus at the top of Serie A with a 1-0 win at high-flying Genoa.

The winner was an absolutely beautiful sideways volley from Radja Nainggolan, who acrobatically met a cross from Maicon on the edge of the area.

1. Maximilian Wittek (1860 Munich) vs. Karlsruher

10 of 10

Karlsruher beat 1860 Munich 3-2 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, but the home team were the ones to break the deadlock in the thrilling 2. Bundesliga tie.

In the 28th minute, left-back Maximilian Wittek picked up the ball from a poor clearance around 40 yards from goal and proceeded to score a goal that a defender has no right scoring.

It was the 19-year-old's first goal for Die Lowen.
