Former Dinamo Bucharest Manager Flavius Stoican Learns of Sacking from Waiter
When Dinamo Bucharest found a new dinner date instead of Flavius Stoican, the Romanian simply quit his job.
The now-former manager of Dinamo Bucharest was set to go out and have dinner with the club's owner, Ionut Negoita and executive, Constantin Anghelache.
As the story has it, according to Sport.ro (h/t Who Ate All The Pies), Stoican showed up for said dinner at a popular restaurant in Bucharest, only to learn some slightly disconcerting news from his waiter—the dinner had already begun.

Not only had it already begun, but his bosses were dining with former Dinamo striker, Claudiu Niculescu, who according to the report was a rumoured candidate to take over for Stoican.
After being on the receiving end of the not-so-pleasant news about his own job prospects, Stoican simply stormed off and saved his club of the formality of sacking him and offered up his resignation.
For what it's worth, Niculescu has not yet been put in charge of the club. The interim coaching job went to Ionel Danciulescu.
At least his unpleasant realisation wasn't on a live broadcast, unlike Gus Poyet's bizarre sacking from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Romanian side are stuck in seventh place in Romania Liga 1, 11 points behind leaders Steaua Bucharest.
