Team GB Athlete Turns £5 into £50K with Amazing Football Accumulator Bet

Karla Drew is a young British heptathlete trying to make it in the world of international athletics, but it looks like her real talent may be in picking football matches. 

Drew put a £5 bet on a 10-team football accumulator on Tuesday and, as she went to bed, eight of the 10 bets had come in.

All she was waiting for was for Uruguay to beat Chile and for Panama to draw with Canada to turn £5 into over £50,000.

A bore 0-0 draw in the Panama game helped her out, but her Uruguay bet looked in trouble when Alexis Sanchez gave Chile the lead. However, they fought back to win 2-1 and complete a remarkable result for the MSc sport and exercise psychology student.

Karla, who is a big Liverpool fan, has shown her talent for picking games in the past.
