
Florida Gators Blow Late Lead vs. South Carolina After Having Punt Blocked
The Florida Gators looked like they were going to come away with a big win against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, but two major late-game special teams gaffes cost them the victory.
Up 17-10 with less than four minutes remaining, the Gators had a 32-yard field goal blocked. Then, with only 39 seconds left in the game, an uncovered South Carolina player burst through and blocked a punt, giving the Gamecocks the ball on Florida's 34-yard line.
To make things even worse for the Gators, this is how South Carolina scored its game-tying touchdown, with Mike Davis recovering his own fumble in the end zone:
