
Miami's Duke Johnson Runs Free on 90-Yard Touchdown vs. UNC
Miami Hurricanes junior running back Duke Johnson exploded for his longest career run against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday.
In the second quarter against UNC, Johnson broke free on this 90-yard touchdown, with no one coming close enough to bring him down. According to the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro, that run tied the record for the longest in school history:
That wasn't Johnson's only major accomplishment on Saturday. He also moved past Edgerrin James for the second-most career rushing yards in school history, according to ESPN Stats & Info:
It was Johnson's second touchdown run on the day, after having scored on a one-yard plunge in the first quarter. At halftime, he already had 17 rushes for 172 yards and two scores, with Miami holding a 30-6 lead over UNC.
