Darren McFadden's, Maurice Jones-Drew's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 8
In fantasy leagues, it's best to avoid the Oakland Raiders running game like it's an ex-significant other who you broke up with via email.
Sunday was the newest reminder. Going up against a Cleveland Browns defense that was giving up 5.0 yards per carry and hemorrhaging fantasy points to running backs, Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew failed to take advantage.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Take a look at their final stats:
| Darren McFadden | 12 | 59 | 4.9 | 4 | 26 | 0/1 | 6.5 |
| Maurice Jones-Drew | 6 | 8 | 1.3 | 1 | 6 | 0/0 | 1.4 |
To be fair to McFadden, he has been running the ball well as of late. Although he fumbled for the first time this season on Sunday, he surpassed 70 total yards for the third time in three games. In PPR leagues, he has quietly tallied at least 10 points in six consecutive contests.
However, until the Raiders give him a larger workload, he can only be relied upon as a flex option in standard leagues and a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues.
CSN California's Scott Bair summed up the problem in Oakland's offensive attack:
The Raiders fell behind in the fourth, but the play-calling was questionable even before that. McFadden tallied 23 yards on the team's first two plays but received just eight touches on the team's next seven possessions.
McFadden can definitely be serviceable, but inside this unpredictable offense, which is often playing from behind, there isn't much upside.
As for Jones-Drew, unless you're in an incredibly deep league or offer bonus points for players named Maurice, he's safely droppable.
