Tom Brady and the New England Patriots got off to a hot start against a disjointed Chicago Bears team in Week 8, much to the delight of fantasy owners across the land.

Brady completed 17 of 20 pass attempts for 194 yards and three touchdowns in the first half. Tight end Rob Gronkowski caught two of those touchdowns, including a beautiful over-the-shoulder grab for his first score, while his understudy Tim Wright grabbed the other.
Gronk was clearly Brady's favorite target early on, reeling in all eight of his first-half targets for 103 yards and the aforementioned scores. Wright's only catch of the first half was the one-yard score.

Comcast Sports Net's Michael Giardi felt Bears safety Ryan Mundy had no chance against Gronkowski:
Gronk didn't let up in the second half and rumbled to 46-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Brady was immaculate on the day and turned in one of his best-ever performances. ESPN Stats & Info pointed out just how good he was:
It's safe to say at this point that Brady's early struggles this season are confined to the past. He's been excellent since the Patriots' Week 5 demolition of the Cincinnati Bengals and is a QB1 from here on out.

Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in the league and deserves TE1 status in just about any league. At a position where it's so tough to find dependable, week-to-week production, Gronkowski is one of the few must-have assets in the league. The only thing that can stop him is his own health at this point.
Wright has scored three touchdowns in his last four games, but he had just 11 targets through the Pats' first seven games and isn't a viable fantasy option. He did play well when Gronk went to the bench, but it's tough to say if he can be relied upon. Should Gronkowski get hurt, Wright is bumped up to TE2/flex option status, but nothing more. He may be worth having on the bench as a handcuff, but one can likely make better use of a roster spot.
