Bonell reported that head coach Brian Shaw would start Danilo Gallinari while Faried was out.
One of the NBA's best high-energy guys, the Nuggets came into the season expecting a leap from the Morehead State product. Faried excelled alongside Anthony Davis for Team USA at the 2014 FIBA World Cup, a coming-out party that undoubtedly gave him leverage as he negotiated a four-year, $50 million deal.
While Faried's hasn't excelled this season, averaging just under 12 points per game, he's still a vital cog in the Nuggets roster. The Nuggets have struggled this season with Faried in the lineup. If he misses an extended period, things will surely get worse.
