Branden Oliver, Ronnie Brown's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 7
The San Diego Chargers couldn't escape a trap game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7, and running back Branden Oliver's fantasy production took a significant dip as a result. The rookie tailback, who began the season on the practice squad, still got the lion's share of touches in the contest.

| Brown | 1 | 2 | 2.0 | 0 | 1 | 4 |
Ronnie Brown, signed by the Chargers in early October to add depth to the backfield, was a non-factor in this contest, a sign that the Chargers coaching staff has complete faith in Oliver. ESPN's Christopher Harris likened him to Maurice Jones-Drew, an apt comparison considering their short statures and penchant for bouncing off would-be tacklers:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Oliver's dip in performance should be little cause for concern for fantasy owners.. He did well to break tackles at the line of scrimmage and get to the next level, an ability that should prevent him from becoming a complete dud.
He's a high-upside RB2 until Ryan Mathews returns to play, and even then he could still see plenty of time on the field with the way he's played up to this point, which would easily keep him in the flex conversation.
Brown played with the Chargers in 2012 and 2013, but wasn't on the team's roster at the beginning of the season. He's merely a body for the Bolts until either Mathews or Donald Brown returns from their respective ailments and is a fantasy football non-entity.
