Lamar Miller, Damien Williams, Daniel Thomas' Post-Week 7 Fantasy Reaction
With Knowshon Moreno out for the year, Lamar Miller has taken over the starting running back job for the Miami Dolphins and is now a valuable commodity in fantasy football.
Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams were each involved in small ways against the Chicago Bears in Week 7, but Miller is clearly the running back you want in the Dolphins backfield. Here is a look at how the trio fared on Sunday:
| Lamar Miller | 18 | 61 | 3.4 | 1 | 2 | 22 | 0 | 3 |
| Daniel Thomas | 7 | 25 | 3.6 | 0 | 3 | 25 | 0 | 3 |
| Damien Williams | 1 | -1 | -1 | 0 | 2 | 12 | 0 | 2 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It was not the most efficient day for Miller as he struggled to create too many big plays. However, he saw the majority of touches among the running backs and was even called upon near the goal line, which led to a rushing touchdown.
The score came on a nice run by the third-year player, which impressed Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
Although he had a hard time getting touches last season, he is much more involved in the offense this time around. He still might not ever be someone who gets 20 carries per game, but he can do enough in his small amount to put up big fantasy numbers on a weekly basis.
The only concern is the increased role of Thomas in this game after coming in with just seven carries all season. The running back was released in the preseason and only picked up again after the injury to Moreno.
It would be understandable for the Dolphins to use the bigger Thomas (6'1", 235 pounds) on short-yardage and goal-line plays over Miller (5'10", 224 pounds), but that has not been the case as Miller was the one who came through near the end zone. This is a good sign for Miller and should keep him a strong fantasy play as long as this continues.
Thomas will get his touches, but more times than not he will not do enough to be fantasy relevant except for in the case of an injury. He does not need to be added except for in the deepest leagues.
As far as Williams is concerned, he has clearly become an afterthought in this offense and should not be owned in any fantasy leagues.
