Week 7 Standard-Scoring Sleepers

Fantasy owners are always looking to get an advantage over their competition, and finding the sleepers who come through huge can make the difference between making and missing the playoffs.

The first flex play of the week is slowly breaking out of being classified as a sleeper. If Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett continues having explosive games like he did when he racked up 111 yards against Tampa Bay, every fantasy owner will be looking to get their hands on him.

In one week, Forsett went from being owned in just 46.7 percent of leagues to a whopping 75 percent heading into Week 7, according to ESPN's added/dropped list. Despite having a sporadic workload, he has scored three touchdowns this season and has been a major threat in the passing game as well.

The NFL on ESPN Twitter account shared another of Forsett’s impressive numbers:

With a favorable matchup against an Atlanta defense giving up 140.2 yards rushing per game (28th in the NFL), expect Forsett to get 15 touches, 80 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Another player slowly breaking out of the sleeper mold is Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.

A.J. Green is dealing with a toe injury, while Marvin Jones is out for the season with an ankle injury, according to Coley Harvey of ESPN.com. As a result, Sanu will be the team’s primary target.

Even after his team was forced to settle for a tie on a missed field goal, Sanu remained confident:

Sanu was targetted 14 times and managed to haul in 10 receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown in the 37-37 stalemate against Carolina. He now has three touchdowns on the season and has been targeted at least eight times in each of the last three weeks.

If Green misses Sunday’s Week 7 matchup against Indianapolis, Sanu will once again be one of Andy Dalton’s only viable options. The Colts have given up 233 passing yards per game to opposing offenses, and Sanu should expect another big day.

Seven receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown is a realistic stat line. Both Sanu and Forsett are both flex stars for Week 7.
