Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer returned to action Sunday against the Washington Redskins, and his wide receivers must have been overjoyed. Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald continued to provide a nice one-two punch, while John Brown remained a quality third option.

It didn't take long for Palmer to hook up with Floyd. They connected on a 20-yard touchdown strike in the first quarter to give Arizona a 7-0 lead. Floyd got off to a hot start in 2014 with Palmer under center, and the duo picked up right where they left off.

NFL Fantasy Football tweeted what all of Floyd's fantasy owners were probably thinking:

With the Cardinals veteran signal-caller back in action, Floyd's fantasy value jumps significantly. Consider him a solid WR2 with WR1 upside for as long as Palmer remains healthy.

Fitzgerald reaped the benefits of Palmer's return in the second quarter. An impressive catch and run by the veteran receiver concluded with a strong finish, as he dragged a would-be tackler across the goal line for the score. A succinct tweet from NFL summed things up:

While Fitzgerald may lose a fair amount of targets to Floyd, his crisp route-running ability, strength and soft hands always make him a candidate to have a big day. He should be considered a WR2 with Palmer under center.

Brown's rookie season has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride through Arizona's first four games. He will still see targets with Palmer at quarterback, but his role will continue to be limited with Floyd and Fitzgerald ahead of him in the pecking order. He's a risky play, but could be considered a spot starter or flex option against weaker secondaries.
