Cleveland Browns center Alex Mack suffered an injury to his left leg in the second quarter of the team's Week 6 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer reported the news on Twitter and diagnosis:
Mack would not return to the field against the Steelers, according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal:
During his six seasons with the Browns, Mack has never missed a game. The 28-year-old has played a crucial role on the line and would be a massive loss for the new-look offense including Brian Hoyer and Ben Tate.
No news has been reported on the severity of the injury nor a timetable for his return. He will miss the remainder of the Steelers matchup, but Cleveland's offense will have a huge hole to fill if he misses any more time.
