Fantasy Football Week 6: Late Waiver-Wire Pickups Who Will Shine
In the final hours before Week 6 starts, the waiver wire remains a fantasy owner's best friend. There are always players floating under the radar who are poised to have a big game, but if you wait too long your opponents will snatch them up.
Instead of procrastinating to see what will happen, we are going to help you be proactive to make everyone else in your league look lazy or foolish.
Success in fantasy football isn't easy to come by, just as it isn't in the NFL. It's a constantly evolving process that requires your utmost attention.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It doesn't do you any good to play the waiver wire after a player has had a breakout game. Have you been happy with Allen Hurns since Week 1? No, you haven't. So here are the names we are keeping a close eye on that you can still find before Sunday's kickoffs.
Justin Forsett, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Owned in 50.9 percent of ESPN leagues
It's baffling that Justin Forsett is barely owned in half of ESPN's fantasy leagues. He's got three double-digit scoring games in five weeks, including 15 in each of the last two, and has scored three touchdowns.
If I were to ask you which running back averaged the most yards per carry this season, how long would it take before you named Forsett? He's technically tied with Cleveland's Ben Tate (5.9), but Forsett's looks better because he's got 22 more carries.
Forsett is also a master at avoiding contact, as Cecil Lammey of Football Guys noted, he's averaging the most yards before being touched running up the middle and outside the tackles:
The Ravens and Forsett have the luxury of going against a terrible Tampa Bay defense in Week 6. The Buccaneers' weakness has been stopping the pass (292.2 yards per game), but they are tied for 28th with six rushing touchdowns allowed.
In addition to his value as a runner, Forsett has also been fantastic in the passing game. His 23 receptions are the fourth-most by a running back this season. He's averaging more than 14 touches and 5.7 yards per game. He's going to be a star in Week 6.
Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants
Owned in 7.2 percent of ESPN leagues
It took five weeks before we saw the debut of Odell Beckham in an NFL uniform, but it appeared to be well worth the wait. He had four catches for 44 yards and one touchdown against Atlanta. While the Falcons' defense is capable of making anyone look good, Beckham has another favorable matchup in Week 6.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been walking a tightrope all year en route to a 4-1 start, but eventually a defense that yields 406.2 yards per game is going to crack. It happened last week against St. Louis when Austin Davis threw for 375 yards and three touchdowns.
It took the Giants a few weeks to settle into a rhythm on offense. Now that they have, everything is working.
Beckham had a terrific debut; Eli Manning has eight touchdowns and one interception in the last three games; the team is averaging 35 points per game during this three-game win streak.
According to Ralph Vacchiano of The New York Daily News, Beckham could also be getting extra touches this week on special teams:
A matchup between the Giants and Eagles figures to be a high-scoring affair, which means fantasy points will be plentiful. Beckham is going to build on an impressive debut performance with an even better one in Week 6.
Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions

Owned in 8.2 percent of ESPN leagues
This is a case where you have to bet on upside and lost production from another player opening up opportunities for someone else. Eric Ebron has been non-existent virtually all year, save for one touchdown catch against the Jets in Week 4.
However, the Lions will have to get creative if they want to score points in Week 6 against Minnesota. Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush haven't practiced all week with ankle injuries. Johnson is officially listed as doubtful with an ankle injury, while Bush is questionable.
Detroit's running game has been missing all year even with Bush, so points will have to come through the air if he happens to play. Matthew Stafford remains maddeningly frustrating with six touchdowns, four interceptions and erratic accuracy from snap to snap.
When you lose a 6'5", 236-pound red-zone machine like Johnson, the best way to replace him is by utilizing a 6'4", 265-pound monster with mammoth potential.
It's not like he's been terrible, either. Josh Katzenstein of The Detroit News posted a great picture from last week's game against Bufalo of Ebron wide-open down the middle of the field that Stafford missed:
The Vikings have been average on defense this year with 347.4 yards allowed; they're tied for 21st with nine touchdown passes allowed.
Ebron has so much raw talent that there's going to be a game where it comes bursting out. With Detroit's injuries on offense, this feels like a good time.
