Thursday Night Football Week 6: TV Schedule, Live Stream for Colts vs. Texans
Five weeks into the NFL season, there has yet to be a close contest on Thursday Night Football. Hopefully, Week 6 will finally provide a tight game that fans will want to watch until the end.
In fact, the closest matchup came in the first week on CBS and the NFL Network. The Baltimore Ravens trounced the Pittsburgh Steelers by 20 points in the only game where the two teams didn't combine for more than 50 points.
This week, the battle for AFC South supremacy rolls through Texas when the Houston Texans host the Indianapolis Colts. Both franchises come in at 3-2 in an otherwise weak division, so they have a chance to rise to the top.

Breakdown
Last season, the Texans had a year to forget. Going 2-14 after a 2-0 start, Houston was one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL.
Another 2-0 beginning to this season has given way to a 3-2 record, but this team still shows nearly as much promise as the 2012 version. The biggest problem so far has been the Ryan Fitzpatrick-led offense.
Despite facing the porous defenses of the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants, the passing offense has been one of the worst in the league. One of the issues is consistency, as Fitzpatrick told reporters:
"We’re always touching on consistency. It’s something that we just have to continue to work at. Because when we get into a flow and put together good drives, I feel like it’s hard to stop us. But sometimes, whether it’s a penalty here or an incompletion or a missed throw, whatever it is, we’re not in those third-and-manageables and not converting on third down. Then we’re off the field and it’s tough to get in a rhythm. We just have to find a way to become more efficient.
"
Meanwhile, the defense has been ravaged by opposing offenses but leads the league with 12 takeaways. Though J.J. Watt has been a beast yet again, the defense is spending more time on the field than necessary due to an offense that has turned the ball over eight times.
For the Colts, Andrew Luck has been playing at an MVP level through the first five weeks. Indy started at 0-2 but has exposed defenses in the last three games with the best passing offense in the league.
One of Luck's favorite receivers this season has been T.Y. Hilton, who has received 10 targets per game and has 31 receptions for 381 yards. Hilton has also experienced success in the past against the Texans, as Russell Clay of DynastyLeagueFootball.com notes:
During the 12 years of this rivalry, the Colts hold a 20-4 record and have never lost to the Texans in Indianapolis. It's a much different story in Houston, as the Texans have won three of the last four games at home.
They were swept by the Colts in 2013 for the first time since 2009, but the Texans look like a more confident team.
If Fitzpatrick and Arian Foster can get the offense rolling, this game will go down to the wire for the first time on Thursday this season.
Prediction
The Colts are playing on the road on a short week but have more than enough firepower to take down the Texans. Between Hilton, Reggie Wayne and Dwayne Allen, Luck has weapons all over the field with which to exploit Houston's defense.
Even last year when the Texans were struggling, Indy was only able to pull out a 27-24 win. This matchup has a similar feel and will once again lead to a Colts victory as they separate themselves in the AFC South.
Prediction: Colts 27, Texans 20
