Russell Wilson's, Jermaine Kearse's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5
The Seattle Seahawks' multifaceted offense breeds many different options to attack a defense, and early on Monday Night Football it came via the legs of Russell Wilson and the hands of Jermaine Kearse.
Wilson rushed for a whopping 80 yards on the Seahawks' first two drives alone, the first of which was capped off by Kearse's 15-yard touchdown grab from Wilson—the receiver's first score of the season.
The quarterback's final stat line was 18-of-24 passing for 201 yards and two scores, while he rushed for 122 yards and another touchdown on the ground. Kearse's 15-yard touchdown was his only catch of the day.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
| Russell Wilson | 18/24, 201 yards, 2 TD | 11 carries, 122 yards, TD |
| Jermaine Kearse | 1 catch, 15 yards, TD | - |
Known for his dual-threat ability more than anything else, Wilson rewarded fantasy owners with a big day on the ground even if his passing stats didn't explode right off the bat. Kearse turned some heads with a score in the early minutes, but he wasn't thrown to once after the first quarter and that speaks volumes to his fantasy stock—or lack thereof.
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network uncovered a disturbing stat that shows just how effective Wilson was on the ground early—keep in mind this was in the first quarter:
If that stat isn't eye-popping enough, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reported it broke a Monday Night Football record:
Wilson validated his top-10 fantasy quarterback status early in 2014 with two touchdowns in each of his first three games, but it began to show that he wasn't attacking with his legs as much. He entered Week 5 with just 87 rushing yards—not near on pace to reach the 539 yards he gained on the ground a year ago.
Then, he nearly doubled his season rushing total in two drives and all but squashed that idea.
As the defending Super Bowl champs continue to prove their league superiority, Wilson is assured to remain worthy of starting in fantasy. The Seahawks' next four opponents all rank 20th or worse against the run, which will allow Wilson to both gain yards and attack with play action.
Kearse came on slow with seven grabs for 91 yards through three games, while Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin both emerged as more favorable options. While Kearse's targets could increase after scoring his first touchdown, Seattle remains heavily invested in keeping Baldwin as the primary chains-mover and getting the ball in Harvin's hands as much as possible. That will only take away from Kearse's already limited production in fantasy.
