Original Text
Despite a strong start to the season, the San Diego Chargers have been marred by injury after injury to their center position. It only got worse on Sunday with Doug Legursky leaving on a cart with a left leg injury.
Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego reported the news:
Ross Jones of Fox Sports assessed the damage for the San Diego offensive line, which is now on center No. 4:
Ricky Henne of Chargers.com noted that Legursky was ruled out for the remainder of the contest:
Already down to backup center Rich Ohrnberger in the week entering Sunday's showdown, the primary reserve was marked inactive for the game—giving Legursky his second straight start. But with this latest incident, the Chargers were down yet another snapper.
Legursky is no stranger to off-and-on experience as a starter from his time in Pittsburgh. So should the Chargers lose his ability to fill in, it will make an already-messy situation at center even worse for San Diego.
