Austin Davis, Brian Quick, Kenny Britt's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 5
The St. Louis Rams may have fell short Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it wasn't without an impressive comeback from the passing game that should leave quarterback Austin Davis along with wideouts Brian Quick and Kenny Britt turning heads of fantasy owners.
Facing a 34-7 deficit as the third quarter wound down, the Rams came rushing back to life and put themselves in a position to win it on a final possession. Davis led them into Philadelphia territory before a turnover on downs sealed the Eagles' 34-28 win, but the passing game exploded in the fourth quarter.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In his third career start, Davis went 29-of-49 with 375 yards and threw three touchdowns with no interceptions. He was sacked four times, but also rushed for 30 yards in the loss.
Quick was his main man in the vertical attack, catching five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Britt had by far his best game of his Rams career, catching three passes for 68 yards and a late touchdown.
But as Sirius XM Fantasy illustrated, it was the duo of Davis and Quick that torched the stat line for their fantasy owners:
For the better part of three quarters, there was little doing for the Rams on offense. But despite that, Quick still emerged with an early score while Britt waited until crunch time to make an appearance.
The Rams seemed stuck with Davis as their quarterback after early-season injury woes to the quarterback position, but now it looks as if he can lead them to success. Despite losing their last two games, Davis threw for at least 300 yards and three scores in both of them.
But there's little doubt that Quick and tight end Jared Cook are the focal points of the passing game, and really the only pass-catchers that he's grown to trust.
St. Louis faces the 49ers, Seahawks, Chiefs and 49ers again in the next four weeks, proving that continuing the passing success will be easier said than done. With that said, Quick is enough of a focal point to warrant starting in WR2 or flex spots while Davis could be a solid plug-and-play option in favorable weeks.
As for Britt, emerging for the first time in a Rams uniform was a nice sight. But considering his inability over recent seasons to produce consistently, take a step back to see how he fares against some of the NFL's best secondaries in upcoming weeks.
A gauntlet of a schedule upcoming should temper the expectations of the Rams' passing game, but if Davis keeps anywhere near his current level of production, he and his fellow offensive teammates will continue to see their fantasy stocks rise.
