The 10 Funniest FIFA Glitches in the Game's History

After what seemed like a lifetime of anticipation, FIFA 15 finally saw its UK release on Friday. EA Sports have claimed this is their best edition of the game yet, with smooth gameplay and completely new lighting to make the beautiful game game seem even more beautiful.

However, one of the most entertaining parts of a new FIFA release is finding all the glitches before they rush out a patch. In the latest edition, for example, there is a kick-off bug that sees all 22 players charge towards the ball. It leads our list of the 10 best glitches in the game's illustrious history.

FIFA 15's Kick-off Catastrophe

When you watch an U5's game, notice how every kid just runs towards the ball with no positional awareness at all?

The latest FIFA game's PC edition has a glitch to replicate that from kick-off, with all 22 players charging towards the ball and remaining only in the middle of the park.

FIFA 13's Giant Goalie Glitch

The FIFA franchise is renowned for its increasing sense of realism, but a glitch that saw a gigantic goalkeeper with a tiny torso and no arms or head seemed to stray from the path a little.

Playing against the giant decapitated keeper would be like facing the final boss in a Mario game. Only more terrifying. 

FIFA 14's Massive Hands

If a giant goalkeeper wasn't hard enough to score against, how about one with ridiculously big hands? 

This FIFA 14 glitch saw every player suddenly obtain massive digits, as if they all became modern day versions of Pat Jennings. 

Seeing the players dance Gangnam Style with massive hands is particularly disturbing. 

FIFA 15's Rogue Cameraman

The hard-working camera operators at Premier League stadiums help bring us closer to the action, but they're probably not allowed to take the liberties that this chap does. 

FIFA 11's Invisible Team

Mesut Ozil has been criticised a few time this season for disappearing in games, but the German's anonymity is nothing compared to the FIFA 11 glitch that made entire teams disappear. 

This one seems like more of a hindrance than an advantage. 

FIFA 12's Legs XI

FIFA 12 gamers often found that their player's legs would arbitrarily bend up into a very painful position, while they continued to casually levitate around the field. 

Sometimes, the malady would just affect one leg, as Mats Hummels found out. 

FIFA 12's Exaggerated Dives

We've already seen how Arjen Robben's dives in FIFA 15 are even more exaggerated than in real life. Yet in FIFA 12, certain players looked like they were running into the path of a jet engine before being thrown across the field. 

FIFA 10's Monkey Rush Rules

Remember back in the playground when you would play Monkey Rush goalkeeper because no one wanted to go in goal? FIFA 10 seemed to pay tribute to that by randomly letting defenders collect the ball. 

FIFA 07's Free-Kick Folly

Let's finish with a classic from FIFA 07, which sees a goal erroneously awarded for a free kick that was magically teleported to behind the net. Andy Gray's assessment that "timing" was important for the goal seems a little off-kilter too.
